I have been working with gourds since my younger years using the wood burning technique. I begin by drawing, then burn it with wood burner that has different intensities of heat that gives the hues to my pieces. Over the decades my art has evolved incorporating different methods such as the cutouts, carving, painting with acrylics etc. I am always searching for new inspirations and techniques that will allow me to keep on growing as an artist. Will like to be present Saturday the 30 of January.

A little bit of myself : From the Peruvian Andes to Central Florida! I was born in an artist family that carries the tradition of the wood burning in gourds from one generation to the other. I came to Florida 22 years ago, got married to a Bromeliad grower work with him and started doing my gourd art for my friends until one day the Bromeliad society ask me to make some of my pieces for a silent auction , from that moment I decided to display my work in Art Festival and galleries. Honored over the years with many awards including best in show in IMAGES this year 2020 Best in show Beaux Art Festival (Miami), First Place Wood Cape Coral, First Place Wood Stuart etc.
